Local Authorities

Manorlane Energy is working with a number of Local Authorities to provide a total waste solution for their Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) that is currently going to land fill.

Under the terms of the EU Landfill Directive, new legislation and penalties have been introduced to encourage Local Authorities to significantly reduce the amount of household waste which is disposed of in landfill.

Whilst source separated waste would be our ideal input material, for non-source segregated organic waste we have partnered with Global Renewables to provide front end separation technology. This process will not only recover the energy but will also recycle most of the waste, therefore reducing the fraction to be land filled. Together we can deliver 70% materials recycling rate and landfill diversion rate of 95%.
