The Earth's climate is rapidly changing, mainly as a result of increases in climate gases caused by human activities.

A doubling of pre-industrial levels of climate gases is very likely to commit the Earth to a rise of between 2 - 5^oC in global mean temperatures and this will, probably be reached between 2030 and 2060.

Up to 20% of the global GDP could be jeopardised by climate change. A loss of capital equivalent to in the region of € 5,500 billion. This is more than the damage caused by 2 World Wars, including the period of severe economic crisis, in between them.

If we immediately invest 1% of the GDP we can avoid these damages.
